Species Name: Valdmon Name Origin: Vald = "Power" (Icelandic) Level: Burst Attribute: Virus Type: Steel Families: Nightmare Soldiers Globally Available: Yes Attacks: > "Guided Pommel" - The pommel of Dýrð is guided straight into the true head or head-shaped portion of the enemy's body. First and foremost, this is a rudimentary maneuver. Despite its simplicity, this could still cave in many a head. >"Brute Riposte" - Guard against one attack with Dýrð. Valdmon can deflect, slice through, or counterattack against the offensive force as if with ease. However, this cannot be done in succession, even with Valdmon's capability. [Block one attack with minimal damage, as long as the attacking force is at the same stage or below. This can only be done once every 4 attacks taken or every 6 attacks successfully landed. If done in succession or before the permitted conditions are met, take full damage from all offensive sources.] >"Scendsweep" - Valdmon swings horizontally or vertically with Dýrð, unleashing both a tremendous slash and an unrelenting wave of Digisoul lashes out from the blade in an arc. This wave extends for many miles (or kilometers) without dissipating, and can easily cleave through Chrome Digizoid. >"Battle Standard" - Valdmon summons an inspiring banner of his current allegiance, endowing any and all Digimon a supplement to their combat strength. This effect is given once per thread. [+1 Evolution Stage in strength to all Digimon at Mega level or lower. This effect at and after 3 posts will deteriorate any affected Digimon unless they resist the effect.] >"Hades' Memento" - Summons a humongous wall of weapons and blades. Once fired, each weapon will home in on any living Digimon or active DigiCore in front of Valdmon. The blades of the fallen care not for the already-dead, and as such will phase straight through them. >"War Torn Asunder" - Summons an elite group of Valdmon; copies of himself, albeit significantly more hollow. Some are bare-handed, the rest are armed with greatswords. These copies expire in 5 rounds before needing to be summoned again. If their core, which is based at the neck, is harmed these copies expire immediately. >"Headhunter" - Valdmon produces the severed head of a random dragon or dragon-man Digimon. The head shrieks a vile, ear-piercing screech before being returned to somewhere on Valdmon's waist area. The noise from the head stuns any Digimon nearby. [Any head from any dragon/dragon-man Digimon is acceptable, including ancient dragons and the Four Great Dragons, but excluding Examon] [Ultimate level Digimon or higher will be stunned for 1 round if they hear the screams] [Champion level Digimon or lower will be rendered immobile for 3 rounds if they hear the screams] Dex Entry: A knight-like Digimon that emanates a chaotic, intimidating aura. It holds all the regality of a ruthless conqueror and king. A thick, crown-like headpiece appears almost fused with its helmet. Its armor, clad in Black Digizoid, is even bulkier and tougher than Knightmon's, and its greatsword, formed from Obsidian Digizoid, is even larger. Valdmon's greatsword, named Dýrð (translation: "Glory"), embodies the extension of its values in which the blade is unable to shatter. Notches signifying those fallen before Valdmon mark its weapon by the blade, each compelling it to strive ever higher. Its weight means nothing before strength. As a result, Valdmon moves as if its equipment wasn't there at all. Light emanates from Valdmon's armor and helmet; the color largely depending on its current emotional state. The default color is typically up to the Valdmon's discretion and personality. The cloak that this Digimon wears is comparable to another Digimon's gakuran; able to defend against the majority of all attacks. Even then, nothing could bring down Valdmon, especially when it activates its "Brutal Riposte". It's speculated that any Digimon that evolves into Valdmon is almost maniacally desperate for pure strength. As Valdmon, such a Digimon could slice through mountains with or without via "Scendsweep", pierce through Red Digizoid, bath skulls and physically destroy heads with "Guided Pommel", and compete with the mythical, but now deceased Royal Knights. Its signature technique, "Hades' Memento", calls forth thousands of fallen blades to take revenge upon the living. Another skill, "War Torn Asunder", can summon a legion of stray warrior data from a pit deeper than Hell to fight. Those summoned mimic their caster. On top of that, the hearts and souls of those foolish enough to confront Valdmon will be shaken to their core by a severed head of a dragon; it howls due to "Headhunter". Typically, such a sight would break weaker Digimon. Among Valdmon's selfish skills, "Battle Standard" strengthens the body of all loyal companions for a long, grueling battle ahead.
