▪ Ballyhoo Wildeadem▪ ▪ 17? ▪ ▪ Male ▪ ▪ digivice (Cyber Sleuth) ▪ Ballyhoo ▪ Righteous ▪ DORUmon & Ryudamon ▪ Justice Crest personality Ballyhoo has a tendency to act absent-minded and sputter boisterous noises. Whether or not both occur at a similar time is situational. However, this isn't all there is to him. Ballyhoo possesses a penchant for policing any potentially malicious or devious behavior. Hacking, exploitation, or other such similar misdeeds are nails upon a digital chalkboard; they must be stomped out.Honor and honesty are the two (interchangeable) names of the game. Ballyhoo plainly prefers to be the better person, taking the "high road", among other similar phrases. At times, this may seem akin to a strict, robotic course of action. Trickery can easily get the best of him, however. Painting something as a helpful endeavor is, unfortunately, enough for Ballyhoo to involve himself (when notified). Beyond being "Mr. No-Fun-Allowed", Ballyhoo enjoys music and delectable foods. Quieter tunes and hearty meals, in particular, have become those of immense fondness for him. Climbing vertical objects such as walls, trees, dams, firewalls, etc. may occur as well. Ballyhoo knows well enough to employ the use of "please" and "thank you", albeit such basic politeness may also seem robotic in comparison to others. Then again, Ballyhoo is currently oblivious to that fact. appearance Technically, Ballyhoo has two typical appearances. Standing at 1.854 meters (6' 1"), within an apparatus he acquired himself, Ballyhoo is able to protect himself via the "Anti-Cheat Armor". Eye-like spheres adorn the lower portion of a dark, stone-like helmet, that of which conceals the actual eyes it protects. Gear-like protrusions make up the pauldrons at the shoulders, still maintaining the darker, ashen color. Major joints are left relatively exposed for maneuverability purposes, albeit a taut rubber suit can be found between the exposed sections. The majority of the armor follows suit, including additional eye-like spheres at the heart, faulds, and kneepads. The overall theme of this "Anti-Cheat Armor" seems to be knight-like, excluding the helmet. The helmet in question resembles an elongated fez. Conductors line the armor's "plating" sporadically. In reality, however, Ballyhoo isn't exactly towering over much. At 1.437 meters (4' 10") outside of his super-duper-special "Anti-Cheat Armor", Ballyhoo isn't winning any height contests. Additionally, while outside of the armor, Ballyhoo is often found in a short button-down, navy blue collared shirt with a double-cross printed upon the shirt pocket. The collar is usually (uncharacteristically) uneven. Another cross -- or rather more of a plus sign -- is printed conveniently atop the sky blue tie Ballyhoo also adorns himself with. A leather strap, appearing similar to a belt, sits at his right shoulder and wrapping around his torso at a diagonal angle. Currently, all this seems to do is hold down the tie. Digivice Appearance: The device appears to be wildly different from a traditional Digivice. Instead, Ballyhoo's whimsical, magical Digimon taming apparatus seems to be a simple, back-length hooded cape. Simplistic patterns and shapes can be found just beyond both the hood and cape's hem. Otherwise, the "Digivice" is relatively plain. When the hood is drawn over Ballyhoo's head, an interface will appear to display the current needs, conditions, and other imperative notices as a Digivice should. (TL;DR - Ballyhoo's "Digivice" ) history Memories begin with a distinctive moment. In theory they do, at least. Ballyhoo Wildeadem's first memories are those of a floaty, inexplicable reality. It was as if he wasn't truly alive. Blank visages of men and women alike sat before desks and desktop computers. Each had a differing display; they were all unique. The people seemed to have busied themselves with creating something. Ballyhoo wasn't sure.Gray became green, blue, violet, yellow, orange, red, and more. It was colorful, wonderful, and all the more baffling. Lumpy, polygonal objects appeared within the displays. They morphed into a standard brown. Ballyhoo couldn't comprehend what he was witnessing. What was this for? Why was he gazing upon all this work? Time passed as if it were a dream. Texture dawned upon Ballyhoo. Sensation. A lone group, however, began to draw him away from the imagery of polygons and digital people. Colors faded, configuring themselves to be "letters", "numbers", and "brackets". Very intriguing indeed. It was then that Ballyhoo heard noises. Voices. Blank visages echoed with both a passion and a discipline. They were seemingly speaking words of wisdom upon their observer. A more distant figure, fiddling with letters and brackets, spoke of "protecting the game". Another beside him agreed. The neighbor mentioned to "be sure of anti-hacking measures". They two had a "conversation" about such "hackers". Ballyhoo, ultimately, become engrossed in their words. This pair were formulating a "program" to "block cheats" and "kick out hackers". The time Ballyhoo spent with these people, along with their neighboring workers, was monumental in comparison to others. Murmurs of a project "U-King" was a common phrase. More words of wisdom and advice. Crude, polygonal shapes transformed into a world unbeknownst to Ballyhoo -- much less anyone outside his reality. It was coarse, craggly, yet welcoming and enticing. It was hopeful, and wonderful, yet horrible and harsh. There was "snow", "rain", a "sun", a terrain varied enough to get lost in. It was a world of the wilderness. Ballyhoo, individually, was someone attached to this world. This wild world. It was breathtaking, awe-inspiring, jaw-dropping. The sounds of nature and the instruments of life struck it with a flavor that was indescribable. Colors were vibrant, always emboldened by an ambient flow. Ballyhoo's nature was influenced by this world of wonders and inner niceties. In the end, it was if he was tasked to protect it; by the power invested within him. However... where did these foreign creatures come from? One stood on a pair of fuzzy feet, while the other was oddly armored. Both, however, were bipedal. They seemed amicable, at least, yet were entirely suspicious. Ballyhoo wasn't one to consider the risks; he promptly booted them from the reality he resided in. This world mustn't be tainted by hackers -- or any other similar sort, for that matter. Yet, the duo returned. They were also booted once again. Not a word was spoken between these two parties. The process swiftly became repetitive, although eventually the fuzzy invader would converse. Only certain species could speak comprehensibly, right? Ballyhoo was intrigued, yet still evidently wary of any nasty tricks they were surely bound to pull. They were stubborn enough to be cheaters, that's for sure. However, neither did no such trickery. Instead, each spoke civilly, in time. Ballyhoo was impressed. Something seemed to have evolved in an interesting direction. As a temporary peace offering, Ballyhoo picked a nearby flower. It was of a silvery coloration, with blue streaks leading towards the bud. As it turns out, that was sufficient, despite how simple it was. The two creatures introduced Ballyhoo to a game. It was a ways away, yet it apparently hosted a slew of equally enthralling "digital monsters". These "Digimon" were "everywhere", as they claimed. However, it didn't truly persuade Ballyhoo. An interest in catching, taming, or... what-have-you with monsters wasn't to Ballyhoo's tastes. Ensuring that nothing disturbed this seemingly endless landscape was enough. The armored creature added, however, that connections between this land and the land of these "Digimon" could be made for convenience purposes. Even if Ballyhoo left, he never truly would have left once a connection was established. Thanking them for their time, Ballyhoo gestured towards dismissing the two creatures. There was no further business to be had with them. Several days passed before any additional activity occurred. Over time, a sensation that Ballyhoo was relatively unfamiliar with welled up from within. Curiosity? Was that it? Something of that sort, at least. Ballyhoo often had very little to be curious over, yet it turns out that this scenario differed. Could... could these digital monsters have a use in his occupation? Could they cover a wider range of attacks and intrusions within his system? Maybe. Maybe! This world could become fool-proof, virus-proof, and hacker-proof! If these monsters are as varied as those two claimed, then -- Ballyhoo still battled with an ultimate conundrum, yet his thoughts became clearer over it. He shall request assistance from these "Digimon" so that his home could be free from any exploits, cheats, hackers, modifications, and more! The place he calls home shall never be harmed! With that hasty resolution, Ballyhoo traveled to a previously-unknown island; all to seek help from Digimon. Unbeknownst to Ballyhoo, however, the two creatures that he had met before were currently close by. played by: CRW ▪ face claim: Haruhiko Ichijo |
