Lianqimon, the sprite level of the Spirits of Immortality, is a Digimon which represents a Qi cultivator in the Qi Refining stage- Which, in xianxia novels, is typically the first step on the path to Immortal Ascension. As such, Lianqimon has awakened the Qi in his body- And, through training and meditation, can increase both the quantity and quality of said qi. Appearance wise, Lianqimon has an appearance akin to a fusion between his Human spirit Zhujimon, and the human which transformed into him. As such, Lianqimon is extremely humanoid for a sprite- Aside from changes to his physique and hair, he is still recognizable as Xiao Fan. His clothes, however, have changed dramatically, leaving him dressed in what appears to be the garb of a peasant in ancient China, as may be expected of a Xianxia novel’s protagonist in the opening chapters. Lianqimon’s digicore, located within his dantian, is unique among Digimon. In addition to the normal functions of a digicore, Lianqimon’s digicore serves to contain the qi absorbed from the outside world. If it could be seen, Lianqimon’s core would have a very distinct appearance of being filled with a liquid, and having strands which grow from it to every inch of Lianqimon’s body, similar to how veins and arteries radiate from the heart. Through these qi vessels, the liquid within the Digicore circulates throughout Lianqimon’s body. | Species Name: Lianqimon Name Origin: In Xianxia novels, Lianqi, which translates to Qi Refining, is the first stage of Daoist cultivation. Level: Rookie Equivalent Attribute: Free Type: Qi Cultivator Families: Virus Busters Globally Available: No Attacks: > Qi Cultivator - Lianqimon is a Qi cultivator, meaning that he grows in strength by refining external qi into internal qi, and circulating it throughout his body. This internal Qi can be used for attacking, defending, and even healing injuries. So long as Lianqimon has Qi remaining in his qi pool, all injuries are healed as qi circulates through his body at the cost of available Qi decreasing- And should Lianqimon’s digicore be completely empty of qi, Lianqimon automatically returns to being a human. The amount of Qi required to heal each injury depends on the severity of the injury. > Qi Refining Cultivation Base - Lianqimon’s stage of cultivation is comparable to the Qi Refining stage of cultivation, typically treated as the first stage. A cultivator’s Cultivation Base is, simply put, the capacity of a cultivator’s body to hold qi. In Lianqimon, this is represented by the qi pool in his dantian. As Lianqimon grows, so too does his digicore’s ability to hold Qi- However, growth only occurs under three cases. First, by combat. By battling a foe at a similar or greater level to Lianqimon himself, whether in victory or defeat, Lianqimon will increase his cultivation by one step. Secondly, by training. Even without fighting another digimon, by utilizing abilities until his qi pool is emptied, Lianqimon will increase his cultivation by one step. Thirdly, by meditating, as the insights gained by reflection are no less valuable than those gained by training or combat. As all stages of cultivation, the Qi Refining stage has 9 steps. For each step Lianqimon has grown, Lianqimon’s Qi pool can hold 1 unit of Qi. At the ninth step, Lianqimon requires a breakthrough before proceeding to the first step of Foundation Establishment, which can only occur through deep meditation, or in the midst of combat with a Digimon of a higher stage. > Qi Refining Physical Body - A cultivator does not only cultivate their Qi, but also their physical body. As a digital representation of a cultivator, Lianqimon is no exception- However, it is assumed that his physical body grows along with his cultivation base. At the fifth step, this decreases damage taken such that it requires 0.5 less Qi points to heal, and at the ninth step this damage reduction increases to one point. > Meditate / Breakthrough - The method by which Lianqimon increases his cultivation rank via mediation. By reflecting on insights gained as he draws in and refines external Qi for a single post, Lianqimon can increase his cultivation by one step, once per thread. At the ninth step, Lianqimon requires even greater insight to progress, thus requiring either two posts of meditation or combat with a Digimon of Champion level or higher for at least two posts. > Body Reinforcement Martial Arts - The basis of Lianqimon’s martial arts is the ability to reinforce his body with Qi. That is to say, so long as he reinforcing their body, anything they do is a martial art- However, doing so costs 1 Qi. > Body Reinforcement Defensive Technique - Qi can be used to support Lianqimon’s defenses as well as their attacks. Instead of attacking, they may choose to defend at the cost of Qi equal to two thirds the amount which would be lost to heal the damage dealt by the attack. Zhujimon, the Human spirit of the Spirits of Immortality, is a Digimon which represents a Qi Cultivator in the Foundation Establishment stage of immortal cultivation. As such, Lianqimon has begun to craft within his body the foundation upon which all his later growth will rest. While all stages of cultivation are important, this is possibly the most so- Nothing built on a faulty foundation will last. As for his appearance, Zhujimon has taken on the form of a cultivator of a xianxia novel, with long black hair, and clothing reminiscent of those worn by chinese scholars- A frequent choice of clothing for characters in Xianxia, as exemplified by Meng Hao of Er Gen’s novel “I Shall Seal The Heavens”. At some point, it appears Zhujimon has hit some fortune, as he has acquired his first two artifacts- A spacial ring, and a flying sword. Having begun to establish a foundation, Zhujimon’s digicore has undergone a dramatic change- Within the liquid filled digicore, a single pillar has been formed. As Zhujimon grows in strength, pillars will continue to form, one pillar for each step he grows, until a grand total of nine pillars rest within the digicore. | Species Name: Zhujimon Name Origin: In Xianxia novels, Zhuji, which translates to Foundation Establishment, is the stage of daoist cultivation following Qi Cultivation. Level: Champion Equivalent Attribute: Free Type: Qi Cultivator Families: Virus Busters Globally Available: No Attacks: > Qi Cultivator - Zhujimon, as Lianqimon, is a Qi cultivator, meaning that he grows in strength by refining external qi into internal qi, and circulating it throughout his body. This internal Qi can be used for attacking, defending, and even healing injuries. So long as Zhujimon has Qi remaining in his qi pool, all injuries are healed as qi circulates through his body at the cost of available Qi decreasing- And should Zhujimon’s digicore be completely empty of qi, Zhujimon automatically returns to being a human. The amount of Qi required to heal each injury depends on the severity of the injury. > Foundation Establishment Cultivation Base - Having broken through the bottleneck at rank 9 of Qi Refining, Zhujimon begins at rank 1 of Core Formation. This is represented by a single pillar which forms within his Qi pool. As Zhujimon grows, more pillars form, representing the increase in his capacity to hold Qi. However, his Qi has also undergone a qualitative change- The amount of energy used by a pinnacle Qi Refining cultivator is a mere drop in the bucket for a Foundation Establishment cultivator. As such, Zhujimon begins with 2 points worth of Qi at the first step, and gains two points for each step hereafter. The methods for growth in the Foundation Establishment realm are the same as in the Qi Refining realm- By combat, training, or meditation. > Foundation Establishment Physical Body - As with Qi Refining, the cultivator continues to improve their physical body as they grow. At the fifth step, damage is reduced by 1 Qi point, and damage is reduced by 2 points at the ninth step. > Meditate/Breakthrough - As Lianqimon, Zhujimon can grow by meditating. However, as there is a qualitative difference between the two stages, Zhujimon requires two posts of uninterrupted meditation for each step of growth, and can still only utilize this method once per thread. For breaking through, three posts of meditation or combat with a Digimon of a higher stage are required. > Spatial Ring - A staple item in xianxia novels, a ring bound to Zhujimon’s blood and qi which contains within it a finite amount of storage space. In other words, an inventory. > Flying Sword - A second staple item in Xianxia, a flying sword is a weapon frequently utilized by cultivators, controlled via strands of qi. The amount of qi used for this is negligible, and therefore the sword acts as one would expect of any weapon wielded by a champion level Digimon, save for the fact that it flies on its own. Can also be stood upon for pseudo-flight transportation > Qi Strike - While the Qi Refining digimon Lianqimon is strictly limited to reinforcing their own body with qi, Zhujimon is capable of manipulating his qi externally to supplement his blows, allowing for more creative uses. Costs 1 Qi. > Qi Barrier - By manipulating Qi outside the body, Zhujimon can intercept an incoming strike using Qi, using Qi equal to half of the damage which would have been taken.
