Like many Fresh level Digimon, Kuumon is a small ball of fur which moves by bouncing around. Presumably it has a face, hidden beneath its fur, because it can see. And bite. Watch your fingers. This is your only warning. The most fascinating characteristic of Kuumon is that, when hatching from a Digiegg, this Digimon splits into two- One black, and one white. The name comes from the only sound it makes, a soft “kuu.” | Species Name: Kuumon (Black) Name Origin: Kuu as the onomatopeia for the sound it makes. (Black) differentiates from Kuumon (White). Level: Fresh Attribute: Free Type: Darkness Families: Nature Spirits Globally Available: No Attacks: > Liangyi - Kuumon (Black) and Kuumon (White) are one digimon in two bodies. When one digivolves, so does the other… And when one, de-digivolves, the other does as well. > Black Bubble - If it could talk, Kuumon would claim that this bubble is made of pure Yin energy… WHatever that is. Still, this black bubble is made of something, and packs about as much wallop as you would expect from a Fresh Digimon. > You Were Warned - That’s right! Kuumon has teeth! And while they aren’t great (Read: Do nothing) against other digimon, they are just right for biting squishy human fingers! Dex Entry: This pint-sized Fresh Digimon is said to come in twins. While it may look fluffy, do be aware that it has teeth and will bite! Digivolution: Kuumon (Black) KoKuromon Kuromon Heimon Yinmon LunarYinmon |
KoKuromon is, as the name suggests, a small version of the Rookie level Kuromon. As such, KoKuromon takes the form of a small, black kitten. Pure black, without even a hint of other color- Even the eyes and the inside of the mouth can be seen to be black, without the slightest hint of another color. It’s rather disconcerting. While, unlike Kuumon, KoKuromon can talk… Don’t expect much of interest. For some reason, KoKuromon tends to refer to herself as a female, despite Digimon not having differentiated genders. At this stage in digivolution, KoKuromon shows no signs of differentiating from her ‘brother’ beyond their color. | Species Name: KoKuromon Name Origin: Ko, japanese prefix meaning small, and Kuro, japanese word for black. Level: In Training Attribute: Free Type: Darkness Families: Nature Spirits Globally Available: No Attacks: > Liangyi - KoKuromon and KoShiromon are one digimon in two bodies. When one digivolves, so does the other… And when one, de-digivolves, the other does as well. > Black Bubbles - A barrage of small, black bubbles identical to those fired by Kuumon (Black), albeit more numerous. > Tooth and Nail What, you thought you were safe because she digivolved? Nope! While not very useful against other digimon, KoKuromon is more than capable of deterring wandering hands. Dex Entry: Don’t be fooled by this cute kitten’s sleepy appearance! She may look tired , but if you try to pet this In-Training level digimon, expect to have your hand scratched! Digivolution: Kuumon (Black) KoKuromon Kuromon Heimon Yinmon LunarYinmon |
As KoKuromon is a kitten, so Kuromon is a cat. Like KoKuromon, Kuromon is pure black, to the point of not having a single other color on her body. Well, even like this, her size is about the same as a housecat, putting her on the small side for a Rookie level digimon. She won’t complain, however, as that leaves her the perfect size for perching on her Tamer’s left shoulder. This is the first stage in evolution in which there are greater physical differences between Kuromon and Shiromon than their respective colors. Kuromon is notably smaller and more lithe than her male counterpart, with softer fur- Though, do watch out for teeth when trying to pet her. | Species Name: Kuromon Name Origin: Japanese word for black Level: Rookie Attribute: Free Type: Darkness Families: Nature Spirits Globally Available: No Attacks: > Liangyi - Kuromon and Shiromon are one digimon in two bodies. When one digivolves, so does the other… And when one, de-digivolves, the other does as well. > Black Burst - This black ball of energy is notably stronger, faster, and more solid than the one used by Kuromon’s previous forms. Kuromon’s bread and butter attack. > Tooth and Nail You know the drill by now. Teeth. Claws. Hands. Ouch. It’s almost like a non-Digimon cat. Dex Entry: You can tell this cat-like rookie apart from a real cat by looking at it’s face! If the eyes are all black, I can say with certainty that it is not a cat! Digivolution: Kuumon (Black) KoKuromon Kuromon Heimon Yinmon LunarYinmon |
From a kitten, to a cat, to a… You guessed it! In her champion form, Heimon takes the form of a big cat! Specifically, a black panther- And, as usual, that’s all black. Furthermore, while her rookie form may have been on the smallish side due to matching her real world animal counterpart, Heimon has scaled up to be much more reasonably sized in comparison to other Champion level Digimon. Well, compared to her ‘brother,’ she still has a ways to go. While lacking the brute strength of her male counterpart, Heimon makes up for it with finesse. With her nearly imperceptible footsteps and an ability to hide which is uncharacteristic for a creature her size, Heimon is an ambush predator. She thrives on hitting and running, letting her counterpart Baimon cover her escape. However, should she be forced into a contest of pure strength, Heimon will lose nine times out of ten. | Species Name: Heimon Name Origin: Chinese word for Black Level: Champion Attribute: Free Type: Darkness Families: Nature Spirits Globally Available: No Attacks: > Liangyi - Heimon and Baimon are one digimon in two bodies. When one digivolves, so does the other… And when one, de-digivolves, the other does as well. > Ambush Predator - Heimon’s specialty is attacking weak points from ambush. When attacking a target who has not seen, has lost track of, or is occupied with a target other than Heimon, Heimon’s attack is much more likely to strike a vital point. That is to say, a critical hit. This effect does not apply if it was applied the previous post. > Hide on Shadow - Despite the name, no shadows are actually involved. This is Heimon’s primary stealth technique, which uses any and all terrain to get out of sight and stay out. Over the course of the next three posts, Heimon becomes increasingly difficult to track. The ability cancels if Heimon uses any offensive action during this time. Enemies can stay still and scan for a post to make Heimon easier to track. Furthermore Hide on Shadow has a Cooldown of 3 posts after stealth is broken. > Dark Needle - Heimon focuses energy into the form of a long, thin needle, which is subsequently launched towards the target at high speeds. While this attack is not especially strong on its own, its size and shape allow it to pierce through small gaps in armor to strike the vital points beneath. Does decreased damage if not under the effect of “Ambush Predator” > Blindside Blow - Heimon seeks to land a physical blow from her target’s blind spot. Deals decreased damage when not under the effect of “Ambush Predator” > Fatal Error - Unusable unless under the effect of both “Hide on Shadow” and “Ambush Predator.” Towards her foe, weakened by the constant attacks from the shadows, Heimon grants her final mercy. A brutal, killing blow, aimed at any weakness exposed during the battle. Fatal Error does damage based on how much damage the target has taken during the battle. Should the target survive, they will suffer from bleed damage for three posts. Usable once per target per thread. Dex Entry: If you feel you are being stalked by a particularly dark shadow, stay on your guard. While weak to face-to-face confrontations, this Champion level Digimon is known for her devastating ambush tactics. Digivolution: Kuumon (Black) KoKuromon Kuromon Heimon Yinmon LunarYinmon |
Yinmon, as the name suggests, is a Digimon which embodies the “Yin” of the Taiji. Yinmon takes the form of a beautiful human maiden, clad in a kimono. Like her previous digivolutions, Yinmon’s primary coloration is of purest black. Unlike them, this Digimon has white as well- The Yang with the yin. This Yang can be seen in her eyes, and a floral pattern on both the kimono she wears and the folding fan she uses as a weapon. Yinmon is the passive to Yangmon’s active, the yin to his yang. As with Heimon, her abilities are lacking in a direct confrontation. Yinmon, instead, takes on more of a defensive, supporting role. A cunning illusionist, Yinmon has clearly not forgotten the patience that made her Champion level form so effective. | Species Name: Yinmon Name Origin: Yin, from the concept of Yin and Yang Level: Ultimate Attribute: Free Type: Darkness Families: Nature Spirits Globally Available: No Attacks: > Liangyi - Yinmon and Yangmon are one digimon in two bodies. When one digivolves, so does the other… And when one, de-digivolves, the other does as well. > Kyouka Suigetsu - Like the flower in the mirror or the moon in the pond, she can be seen but not touched. This illusion technique creates a number of clones of Yinmon, while the true body disappears entirely. Careful observation can pinpoint the location of the true form, but requires standing still for a post to observe. Lasts for three posts, and has a cooldown of three posts. > Five Elements Destruction - Yin - By utilizing the destructive cycle of the five elements, Yinmon neutralizes an attack which contains one of the five elements by creating the element which destroys it with a wave of her fan. Wood destroys Earth. Earth destroys Water. Water destroys Fire. Fire destroys Metal. Metal destroys Wood. Cooldown of two posts. > Five Elements Generation - Yin By utilizing the generating cycle of the five elements, Yinmon increases the force of an attack which contains one of the five elements by creating the element which creates it with a wave of her fan. Wood generates Fire. Fire generates Earth. Earth generates Metal. Metal generates Water. Water generates Wood. Cooldown of one post. > Yin Wave - Soft and yielding is the nature of Yin. From Yinmon’s fan, a black curtain sweeps the landscape, passing over all but doing no damage. The true usage of this skill is to reveal that which is hidden- Be it a Digimon who shares Yinmon’s affinity for hiding, or the entrance of a cave. Cooldown of two posts. > Mark of Yin - Yinmon leaves behind a black mark in the shape of a handprint. Up to three marks may be maintained at a time, and they can be left on both Digimon and inanimate objects. Cooldown of two posts. > Yin Detonation - Yinmon overloads a mark of Yin, creating a powerful explosion at it’s location. Dex Entry: Yinmon, the Digimon which represents the Yin of the Yin-Yang, is a beautiful Digimon specializing in illusions and traps. Digivolution: Kuumon (Black) KoKuromon Kuromon Heimon Yinmon LunarYinmon |
LunarYinmon, the Mega level evolution of Yinmon, maintains the humanoid form of the previous level. However, unlike the previous form, she is clad from head to toe in western style plate armor. As with Yinmon’s kimono, a white floral pattern covers the entirety of the otherwise black armor. For her weapon, LunarYinmon wields a wakizashi. As with her armor, a floral pattern covers both blade and scabbard. However, while it is her weapon, LunarYinmon rarely uses it. Her preference is to use her illusions and spellcasting to perform a much more supportive role, rather than to attack directly. Instead, the blade acts as decoration, and occasionally as a focal point for her spells. As suggested by her name, LunarYinmon shows an affinity for the moon. As such, she is markedly stronger during the nighttime than during the day. | Species Name: LunarYinmon Name Origin: Lunar, having to do with the moon, and Yin, from Yin and Yang. Level: Mega Attribute: Free Type: Darkness Families: Nature Spirits Globally Available: No Attacks: > Liangyi - LunarYinmon and SolarYangmon are one digimon in two bodies. When one digivolves, so does the other… And when one, de-digivolves, the other does as well. > Knight of the Moon - LunarYinmon draws strength from the moon, which has long been associated with Yin. As such, during the night, the duration of all LunarYinmon’s effects increases by one post. > Wu Xing - LunarYinmon has five battle stances, one for each of the five traditional Chinese elements- Water, Wood, Fire, Earth, and Metal. Each of these stances draws upon the ‘Yin’ present in the element, adding additional effects to all of her attacks. Only one Yin stance may be active at a time. LunarYinmon starts with no active stance, and changes stance at the end of each post. After using a stance, all four other stances must have been switched to before returning to the first. The active stance can be seen in the uniquely colored aura surrounding LunarYinmon’s wakizashi, which changes based on which stance she is in. > Water’s Yin - [Stance of the Silent Depths] - The yin of water is the energy of cool, still water, such as that in a well or a puddle. Taken to the extreme, this yin water is deadly and bone-chilling. Channeling that aspect of the water, the stance of the Silent Depths causes LunarYinmon’s successful attacks to apply a debuff to the target, a chill which seeps into their very bones, causing their movements to stiffen for the next two posts. Furthermore, as the stance is of the water element, it is strengthened when the opponent is of the fire element, or SolarYangmon is in the metal stance. Likewise, the stance is weakened when against those of the wood element or when SolarYangmon is in the earth stance. When in this stance, LunarYinmon’s wakizashi takes on a blue aura. > Metal’s Yin - [Stance of the Malleable Ironl] - The yin of metal is that of metal’s softness. It is the metal which bends without breaking, which can be forged under heat and pressure. Channeling this aspect, the stance of Malleable Iron causes LunarYinmon’s successful attacks to apply this property to her opponent’s armor for the next two posts- Which causes it to buckle under heavy blows, thus increasing their power. Furthermore, as the stance is of the metal element, it is strengthened when the opponent is of the wood element, or SolarYangmon is in the earth stance. Likewise, the stance is weakened when against those of the fire element or when SolarYangmon is in the water stance. When in this stance, LunarYinmon’s wakizashi takes on a silver aura. > Earth’s Yin - [Stance of the Still Earth] - The yin of earth is that of Earth’s stillness, of the land that changes slowly, and imperceptibly, as how the continental plates move. Channeling this aspect of earth, the Stance of the Still Earth causes LunarYinmon’s successful attacks to root their target in place for one post. Furthermore, as the stance is of the earth element, it is strengthened when the opponent is of the water element, or SolarYangmon is in the fire stance. Likewise, the stance is weakened when against those of the metal element or when SolarYangmon is in the wood stance. When in this stance, LunarYinmon’s wakizashi takes on a yellow aura. > Wood’s Yin - [Stance of the Burrowing Roots] - The yin of wood is that of the hidden growth, the roots which reach deep within the soil, reaching into the cracks of rocks and breaking them apart from within. Channeling this aspect of wood, while within the stance of the burrowing roots, LunarYinmon’s successful attacks plant a seed upon their opponent for two posts. Should the opponent make a defensive action while seeded, it will sprout, destroying their defense from within. Opponents who notice the seed can spend a post doing nothing to remove it before it sprouts. Furthermore, as the stance is of the wood element, it is strengthened when the opponent is of the earth element, or SolarYangmon is in the water stance. Likewise, the stance is weakened when against those of the fire element or when SolarYangmon is in the metal stance. When in this stance, LunarYinmon’s wakizashi takes on a green aura. > Fire’s Yin - [Stance of the Hearth’s Warmth] - The yin of fire is the softness of fire, that which warms and protects. It is the controlled fire found in the hearth of one’s home. Channeling this aspect of fire, while in the Stance of the Hearth’s Warmth, LunarYinmon’s successful attacks release a pulse of warmth, which soothes and heals herself and nearby allies by a small amount. Furthermore, as the stance is of the fire element, it is strengthened when the opponent is of the metal element, or SolarYangmon is in the wood stance. Likewise, the stance is weakened when against those of the earth element or when SolarYangmon is in the water stance. When in this stance, LunarYinmon’s wakizashi takes on a red aura. > Shadow Strike - When this attack is activated, LunarYinmon shrouds herself in shadows, becoming invisible for one post. This invisibility not only hides her self and her movements, but also hides which stance of Wu Xing she changes into at the end of the post. On the post after activation, having used her invisibility to maneuver into an enemy’s blind spot, LunarYinmon strikes with her wakizashi- Though, as this attack relies on her rather lacking physical strength, the damage dealt is minimal. Potential targets can choose to forgo acting during their post in order to follow LunarYinmon’s movements and thus be prepared for her attack. Cooldown of 4 posts. Cooldown is halved when used in the dark. > Elemental Cage - By weaving together pure Yin energy with the element of her current stance, LunarYinmon attempts to lock her target in a cage so beautiful, it almost seems a shame to destroy it. Once created, the cage persists for three posts unless destroyed from either within or without. Cooldown of 4 posts. > Elemental Strike - By twining pure elemental force with the energy of Yin, LunarYinmon creates the spiral energy blast that comprises her most simple attack. > Yin Barrage - A rain of arrows blotting out the sun, is perhaps the simplest way to describe the scale of LunarYinmon’s wide-area attack. Creating thousands of spikes out of pure Yin energy tinged with elemental energy, LunarYinmon calls forth a rain of death on a target area. That said, while the sheer number of strikes makes dodging nigh impossible without escaping the area of effect, each individual bolt is weak. As such, the attack is fairly worthless unless the targets are so numerous or large that at least a quarter of the bolts find their mark. > Moonlit Waltz - [Dance of the Unreal Real] - LunarYinmon’s great illusion technique, the Dance of the Unreal Real can only be activated under the condition that Knight of the Moon is active. By weaving together the “truth” and the “lies,” LunarYinmon creates a deceit that can simultaneously be seen through by all and by none. While active, each allied combatant may include in their turn a section of false actions, paired with a section of true actions. The targets of these actions may choose to respond to either, both, or neither of these actions, in full knowledge that one is an illusion and the other is real. Which action is real must be declared when the post is made. This illusion lasts for three posts, and is not increased further by the effect of Knight of the Moon. Cooldown of 10 posts after effect ends. > Circle of the Five Elements - Yin This technique may only be activated when Knight of the Moon is active, and LunarYinmon has entered each stance of Wu Xing twice. Channeling the power of the five elements, LunarYinmon divides herself into five clones, each with power lower than that of the original, and each in a unique stance of Wu Xing. Each clone takes the same action each turn, with the primary difference being the element the clone uses. The technique ends on the defeat of a single clone, and LunarYinmon returns to the stanceless state in which she begins. Usable once per thread. Dex Entry: A paragon of illusion techniques, this Mega-Level Digimon draws her Yin energy directly from the moon. Digivolution: Kuumon (Black) KoKuromon Kuromon Heimon Yinmon LunarYinmon |
